INTERVENTIONS
I offer Drawing & Talking, Sand Play and other emotional interventions to support children who may have suffered trauma in some aspect of their lives. These can run over a half term, a term or longer dependent upon the child’s needs. I will work with you and parents to develop a support plan for the child in question. Interventions delivered in a group setting can also be effective - transition, dealing with friendship and social issues, bereavement and eating disorders often affect more than one individual in a cohort. If you need to provide additional support but lack available or trained staff to do so, I can help. I also provide educational interventions to support in early reading, writing and maths.

LEADERSHIP SUPPORT
My experiences in the education sector enable me to offer my services as an External Adviser for Headteacher Appraisals. I also offer Supervision to Headteachers, Designated Safeguarding Leads, SENCOs and pastoral teams. I can support Inclusion Teams with assessing need across the school for emotional wellbeing support of pupil cohorts; planning, monitoring and assessing effectiveness of interventions. If as a school leader, you could do with an extra pair of hands from an experienced leader to get a project off the ground, for your appraisal, or perhaps to deliver some training to staff teams (short or longer term) I can also offer assistance - just give me a call or complete a contact form and we can discuss your needs, tailoring a solution to fit you, your staff and your budget.

SUPERVISION FOR SCHOOL LEADERS
We know that supervision is widespread in most front-line caring professions; studies tell us it is also important in education. Supervision can be used to support pupil and staff wellbeing. Reflective Supervision gives the supervisee the opportunity to stand back from their work; the process of supervision encourages individuals to reflect on and acknowledge the impact work has on them, and with this understanding they are better equipped to objectively analyse their practice, to develop and learn from their experiences. Supervision acknowledges the emotional cost to our staff of dealing with the burden of other people’s problems and traumas. There is already enough to do as a teacher or leader without adding more stress from worrying about things you cannot change! I offer supervision to meet your needs - just give me a call.
